Before coming to RP, what did you think learning was? Since then, has your view changed in any way, and what caused you to view learning in a different light?

Honestly, before coming to RP I thought that RP was quite relax, not so tense and stressful. But I was totally wrong, time has proved me wrong. A lot of people will have the same thinking as me, the outside world had added in too much. Because the requirement to get in RP is lower than other Poly, many people have these thinking that RP is not good. They have this negative thinking about it. Personally, I had heard so much negative comments about RP.

While I am studying in RP, I think that there are some people who are laughing at me, everyone seems to think that RP is not a very good school, some even think that there is no future coming to RP. Seriously, I don’t mind them laughing at me, because they didn’t experiences it. This actually prove them environment can really affect someone or something. The outside world is so scary.

They did not experience how it goes in RP, and they are saying such comments about it. I feel so unfair so my school. The reputation is seriously affected. When someone asks me, which school I am from, and I say RP, they will give an uncertain expression. It is unfair that they judge RP like that. Of course RP may not be the best school, but they can’t judge us like that. We are new, I believe in my school. One day, one day we will be better, just wait for that day. RP will prove them wrong.

Alright why am so sure? I am studying in RP, I experience it. It is really not that easy. You have to be discipline, determine and motivated, your attitude have to be very positive. RP is using the harder method to train us for our career and increasing our knowledge. Example they train us to be flexible to changes and always be ready for like presentation. Want to survive in RP? You have to work hard and loud. Loud means in knowledge and participle in the whole process of the learning journey.

Therefore, RP is not easy, really not as easy as everyone think. First week, they throw you with problems when you are unarm with anything and don’t even know what to do. No warning, just do practical. Facilitators don’t give chance, even the first few weeks. I go through it. They make it tough. It is actually the way and attitude, you think.

You have to have the correct or I should say positive attitude. Try to do your best, try not to stress yourself up. I am stress every time. Now I learn to tell myself that it is a learning experience, just do what you can. It is perfectly alright to make mistake, is how you look at it, your attitude towards learning. What motivate me is actually the negative part, where others thinks that people who study in RP is not good. Negative comments can help me in a certain extent. It can motivate me too prove them wrong. But if too much negative comment can also cause me to be too tired and discourage. RP give me stress, but is the attitude you use to view it.
